How Much Do Lots Cost?
Generally speaking, lots range from $3500 to $17500, with a 10% down payment. We offer financing and when the note is paid in full, a general warranty deed is yours. The value of the land is protected by a set of Restrictions and Covenants that go with each lot.
Can I Boat, Ski, and ride Jet Skis?
Sorry, but we do not allow gas-powered motors on the lake. Our lake is peaceful and quiet and we want to keep it that way.
I hear a lot of bad things about lakes - Is Cedar Lake safe?
Yes. We don’t tolerate drug use, property abuse, excessive noise, etc. Unlike some of the other lake developments you hear about, we maintain our property and the rules that come with it. Our goal is to make sure you and your family can enjoy the lake year round.
Are there annual dues I have to pay?
Yes. We charge annual fees for maintenance of the roads, parks, and the lake. This includes cleaning the restrooms, cleaning the beaches, stocking the lake, fixing the roads, and so forth. Our fees are $300/year are quite affordable compared to other lake developments in the state.
Do I have to own a lot to use the lake and the facilities?
Yes. We are a private community and only lot owners and their accompanied guests can use the amenities of Cedar Lake.
Can I buy a lot using my credit card for payments?
Yes. We can set up an automatic payment plan for you. You can pay your lot off over time, for about the same amount you would pay to store your RV somewhere else!
Can I use my Four Wheeler / ATV there?
Four-wheelers or any saddle-driven vehicles are not permitted at Cedar Lake. Golf carts (both gas- and battery-powered engines), side-by-sides, and John Deere Gators (or similar vehicles) are allowed.
Can I start with just tents and stage the development of my lot?
Yes. You can buy an RV sometime later, then add a deck, next a storage shed perhaps. It’s up to you, as long as you stay within the Restrictions.
Can I live on my Cedar Lake lot?
No. Cedar Lake is not set up for residential living. The ONLY exception is the small number of homes that were grandfathered in years ago. The state says you may camp 120 days out of the year.
